Portrait sketch II

Another portrait sketch. I loosened up a bit more for this piece, but I was still feeling forced and constrained. Eventually, that pressure led me to tighter, less expressive line work. I kind of like the contrast the two techniques create, but the piece was doomed as it lacked direction and purpose. I gave it up in search of something more cohesive, but I think the unfinished work is still worth sharing.
