Ouroboros (work in progress)

I started this piece late last night. I attempted to pick it back up today, but the universe wouldn't play along. A pair of praise-starved cats and a phone conversation later, I gave up.

I was trying to convey something like an ouroboros, with a hint of duality and a little reference to a symbolic portrait I used a lot when I was younger. I kept getting the feeling that it would come off as (distractingly) homoerotic, which is not at all what I was going for. I may finish it someday, but today I decided to move on and try something else.
